Matelso call tracking with Matomo as web analytics. #


1. create a Matomo target. #

To do this, open the website in Matomo where you want to set up call tracking and go to “Targets”->”Define a new target” in the menu.

Here you can enter the settings for the target. The target will be given a name. This can be freely chosen. In this example we choose “Incoming call”.

Next, we set the fulfillment condition of the target to “Trigger an event”.

In the next step, we set the filter to check if the event category is correct.

Now we need to decide if a goal can be fulfilled multiple times per visit.

And finally, we have the option to set a fixed value for the event or use the event value (call duration in seconds) as the revenue target.

Now we click on “Define goal” and we have created our goal.


2. setting up Matomo integration in the control panel #

Matomo, like Google Analytics, requires an account to be registered. To do this, go to Accounts under Integrations 2.0 and click the “+”.


Then click on “matomo” in the overview under Integrations 2.0.

and select the account

After that, the push configuration can be linked to pools.
