What is the purpose and legal basis for processing your application data?

We save the personal data that you voluntarily provide to us as part of the application process – in particular first name and surname, postal address, e-mail address, date of birth, place of birth, profession, CV, references and special categories of personal data (e.g. information about your religious beliefs or health-related data). During the application process, additional data relevant to the application may be collected and saved. The legal basis for the processing of data is § 26 para. 1 sentence 1 BDSG (Federal Data Protection Act) and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a and lit. b General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Your personal data will only be processed for the purpose of the application procedure. In the event that your application is unsuccessful, your personal data will be deleted at the latest six months after the end of the application procedure, unless the processing of your data is necessary for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims (cf. Art. 17 para. 3 lit. e GDPR). Your data will only be saved and used after this if you have expressly consented to your data being stored in our database even after the actual application procedure has finished, so that we can contact you at a later point in time if there are any vacancies. If you no longer wish for us to contact you, you can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future in writing, by e-mail or by telephone. Otherwise we will delete your data after two years. If we contact you within this period regarding new positions, this period begins anew each time.

Transfer of data to third parties

As a matter of principle, your personal data will only be disclosed to those persons who are involved with the processing of your application.

Your rights as a data subject

Given certain prerequisites, you have the right, at no cost, to obtain information about the personal data we have stored about you, to have incorrect data corrected, and to demand the erasure of data, the restriction of the processing of data and the portability of your personal data. You can object to the use of the data at any time, with effect for the future. In some cases, however, we are not permitted to permanently delete data due to legal retention periods. If we process data on the basis of your consent, you can revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future. We would also like to inform you about your right to complain to the state data protection and freedom of information officer for Baden-Württemberg.
