To set up source based routing, open the control panel and log in. Next, navigate to “Configuration->Numbers” in the menu and select a pool.
In the pool overview, open the “Routing” tab.
In the “Routing” tab, find the routing type selection and select “Source based Routing”.
Example Sales Switzerland #
In this example, we want customers from Switzerland to be routed to our sales department in Switzerland. So we open the “Presets” dropdown menu and select “Switzerland Freephone”, “Switzerland Landline” and “Switzerland Mobile Number”.
In the next step we open the “Select routing profile” dropdown menu and select “Create new routing profile”.
Now a pop-up opens where we set up the routing for our sales in Switzerland.
We click on “Save” and after the pop-up is closed, click on “Add”. Now we have set up that all Swiss numbers will be forwarded to our destination “Sales Switzerland”. In the last step, we open the drop-down menu in the “Default routing profile” area and select “Create new routing profile”. In the pop-up that opened, we set up our default forwarding.
Again we click on “Save” and after closing the pop-up we click again on “Save” at the bottom left of the screen. Our routing is now completely set up and calls from Switzerland will be forwarded to our Swiss sales department, all other calls to the German sales department.
