Source based routing allows you to route callers differently depending on their origin/caller number.
What is Source based Routing? #
With Source based Routing, different caller sources can be assigned to certain defined routing profiles. For example, callers from Germany are automatically routed to a German service/phone number, callers from other countries to an English service/phone number. Using the same principle, anonymous callers can be forwarded to an answering machine. Certain area codes are also forwarded to regional offices in this way. The possibilities are manifold.
Here are a few examples: #
Regional routing:
Callers from fixed network Berlin are routed to location Berlin
Callers from fixed network Munich are routed to location Munich
All other fixed network and mobile callers are routed to the central office in Frankfurt
