An 0800 number is a service number which takes over the connection charges of the caller. The connection charges are then due for the recipient.
A 0800 service number has different conditions depending on the country. This article refers to German 0800 service numbers.
An 0800 service number cannot be booked directly via the control panel.
There are guidelines of the German Federal Network Agency for the booking of 0800 numbers / pools, which have to be observed.
Therefore, please contact service@matelso.com if you would like to book an 0800 number/pool.
Procedure:
1. You have to apply for the service number yourself at the German Federal Network Agency.
You can find help here:
https://www.bundesnetzagentur.de/DE/Fachthemen/Telekommunikation/Nummerierung/0800/0800_node.html
2. You receive a notification of service from the Federal Network Agency
3. You send the delivery notice to matelso (service@matelso.com) with the information to which subscriber ID and in which pool size it should be booked.
4. matelso will contact you as soon as the number pool has been activated. The call tracking pool can then be set up as usual.
Important!
The application for the number can take up to 3 weeks. Please arrange this in good time.
Good to know for agencies:
Agencies can apply for service numbers themselves at the Federal Network Agency (see link above) and send the allocation notices to matelso. The numbers are then stored at matelso and can be used by you for your customers if required.
